The M.A. FORD. 13825006F is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision material removal in CNC milling and machining center applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length with a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. The TiB2 (titanium diboride) coating reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. Three helical flutes at a 36-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
The 13825006F is optimized for non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar soft alloys. It is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes in high-speed milling operations on CNC machining centers and knee mills. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional spindle setups. This tool is a single-end design from M.A. FORD. Series 138.
Designed as an OEM-style cutting tool for use with standard 1/4 inch collets, end mill holders, and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (Material Code: N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout directly affects tool life and surface finish on non-ferrous materials.
