The M.A. FORD. 13825004R.015 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to Series 138 specifications, it features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix. The bright, uncoated finish suits materials where coating adhesion or contamination is a concern. With a 2.5 inch overall length and a 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in both roughing and finishing passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use it in standard toolholders with straight-cylindrical shank compatibility.
This end mill is suited for milling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys in production and job-shop environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling, giving the operator flexibility in programming approach moves. The 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits common collet chucks and end mill holders. Normal pitch flute spacing and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining center setups and manual knee mills running conventional or climb-milling passes.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical bore toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills using right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet or end mill holder bore size matches the 1/4 inch shank diameter before tightening. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque guidelines and confirm tool runout with an indicator before beginning a cut.
