The M.A. FORD. 13825002 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling of non-ferrous metals and similar materials. Measuring 0.25 inches in diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length, this single-end tool runs a 3-flute spiral configuration at a 36-degree helix angle. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry produce efficient chip evacuation at typical non-ferrous cutting speeds. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace component production, and general precision machining are the primary users of this tool.
The 13825002 is suited for milling aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metals where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The stub length classification and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The uncoated carbide substrate performs well in applications where cutting fluid or mist is used. This tool fits production environments and prototype shops running 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills.
Designed as an OEM-style tooling solution for use in standard 0.25-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Primary workpiece material compatibility is non-ferrous metal (material code N) per Series 138 specifications.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing any rotating tool. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut; excessive runout will reduce tool life and compromise surface finish.
