The M.A. FORD. 13825001 is a 3-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length, this end mill is built for tight-tolerance work where tool rigidity and edge sharpness matter. The solid carbide construction delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel alternatives. A 36-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright finish indicates an uncoated substrate suited for non-ferrous materials. Machinists and toolroom technicians rely on this tool for general-purpose profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling tasks.
This end mill is optimized for primary use in non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, expanding its utility in pocket milling and full-slot operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It fits any machine spindle or collet accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. The standard length profile suits most benchtop and floor-standing milling machines without requiring extended-reach toolholders.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank collet or toolholder. Primary workpiece material compatibility is non-ferrous metal per M.A. FORD. Series 138 specifications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed only when the machine spindle is fully stopped and all motion has ceased. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the cutting tip before engaging the workpiece, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and degrades surface finish. This tooling should be handled and installed by qualified machinists familiar with milling machine operation and applicable shop safety procedures.
