The M.A. FORD 13818754F is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it carries a Fordlube TiB2 coating that reduces friction and extends tool life in high-speed cuts. The cutter measures 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length. Three helical flutes at a 36-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace fabrication, and general precision machining environments.
The 13818754F belongs to M.A. FORD Series 138, optimized specifically for aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials (material code N). The straight shank at 0.1875 inches diameter with an h6 tolerance fits standard collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration follows standard tooling conventions. No coolant-through capability is present, making it suited for flood or mist coolant delivery from the outside. This is a fractional-inch tool sized for light finishing and contouring passes in softer metals.
Designed for machining aluminum and non-ferrous materials as part of the M.A. FORD Series 138 end mill line. Fits standard 3/16-inch collets and tool holders with h6 shank acceptance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut, and confirm that feed rate and spindle speed are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
