The M.A. FORD 13812505 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With a 0.125 inch cutting diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 36-degree helical flute geometry, it delivers clean, efficient material removal in a compact form factor. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding CNC and manual milling operations. Three right-hand helical flutes evacuate chips effectively while maintaining a strong core. This tool is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled start hole, and carries a bright, uncoated finish suited to non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This end mill is sized for light-duty slot milling, profiling, and contouring in aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous metals where a 1/8 inch tool diameter is called for. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly in standard 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders. With a 1.5 inch overall length, it fits standard tooling setups on VMCs, CNC routers, and manual knee mills. It is part of the M.A. FORD Series 138 product line and is packaged and sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder tooling setups, suitable for CNC and manual milling machines machining non-ferrous metals per M.A. FORD Series 138 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with rotary cutting tool setup and CNC or manual mill operation. Always power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or holder. Verify collet size matches the 0.125 inch shank diameter and torque the drawbar or collet nut per the machine manufacturer's toolholder specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use and replace if edge integrity is compromised.
