The M.A. FORD. 13811810R.020 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 3 mm cutting diameter, an 8 mm length of cut, and a 0.5 mm corner radius that reduces edge chipping and stress concentration at the tool tip. With 3 flutes and a medium helix at 36 degrees, this single-end, centercutting tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with non-ferrous stock use this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with compatible toolholders.
This end mill is built for non-ferrous metal applications including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. Its 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet or end mill holders. The regular length type and 52 mm overall length make it a practical choice for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and contouring where a corner radius is required to improve part geometry and tool life. It is part of the M.A. FORD. Series 138R family of corner radius end mills.
Designed for use with standard collet-style or end mill toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for machining non-ferrous metals. Part of the M.A. FORD. Series 138R corner radius end mill line.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Before mounting, confirm the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips or debris that could affect runout. Tighten the collet or set-screw holder to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure. Verify tool projection and runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality on carbide end mills.
