The M.A. FORD 13637501R.125 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for finishing operations in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/8 inch mill diameter with a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius, providing a controlled edge blend that reduces stress concentrations in machined profiles. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. With a long-length configuration and 1-1/2 inch reach, this tool is suited for cuts requiring additional clearance from the shank. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry, and runs uncoated for applications where coating compatibility with the workpiece material must be managed.
This end mill is intended for use on non-ferrous metals including aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. The coarse pitch and high helix flute geometry support higher feed rates typical in aluminum finishing passes. It mounts in standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter. The long overall length of 3-1/4 inches accommodates setups where extended reach into a workpiece or fixture clearance is required. Machinists and CNC operators working on mills, machining centers, and manual knee mills will find this tool applicable to profiling, slotting, and contour finishing tasks on non-ferrous workpieces.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and in a locked-out state per applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to achieve proper runout. Torque the toolholder to the machine and toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before initiating the first pass.
