The M.A. FORD 13631252 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 0.3125 inch cutting diameter, a 1.75 inch length of cut, and a 3.25 inch overall length. The 45-degree helical flute geometry promotes aggressive chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, making it well suited for aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention required for consistent, repeatable cuts in production and job-shop environments. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
This end mill is built for single-end, right-hand cut operations on non-ferrous metals. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance provides a secure fit in standard collet chucks and end mill holders. With a 1.75 inch length of cut and no extended reach, it is best applied to standard-depth slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where rigidity and surface finish are priorities. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating adhesion to non-ferrous chips could be a concern.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 0.3125 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (Material Code N), including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Part of the M.A. FORD Series 136 end mill family.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish.
