The M.A. FORD. 13618752 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 2.5 inch overall length. The 2-flute, 45-degree helical flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for accurate, repeatable cuts in production and maintenance machining environments. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in both job shop and manufacturing settings.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys. The 45-degree helix angle and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction make it well matched for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling passes where clean surface finish and chip control are priorities. Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard straight-bore end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) shank diameter. Intended for primary use on non-ferrous metal workpieces per Primary Workpiece Material Code N.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism according to the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality.
