The M.A. FORD. 13525000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) mill diameter, a 0.011 inch corner radius, and two right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix angle for balanced chip evacuation and surface finish. The single-end, center-cutting geometry allows both plunge and peripheral cutting. Built from micrograin carbide with a bright/uncoated finish, this tool is suited for applications where coating is not required or may cause dimensional interference. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpieces are the primary users of this Series 135 tool.
This end mill is engineered for roughing and finishing operations in non-ferrous metal applications. The 5/16 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for standard-depth pocketing, profiling, and contouring operations in CNC machining centers or manual mills. The straight-cylindrical shank with an h6 tolerance fits standard toolholders, collets, and end mill holders without modification. It is well suited for production shops and job shops running aluminum or copper alloy components where tight corner radius tolerances are required.
Designed for use with standard toolholders and collet-style end mill holders accepting a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning any cutting operation.
