The M.A. FORD. 13237500 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. Built to Series 132 specifications, it features a 30-degree helix angle and a chipbreaker geometry that evacuates chips aggressively while reducing cutting forces. The uncoated carbide construction suits a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. With a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, 1-1/2-inch length of cut, and 3-1/2-inch overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited to machinists who need additional reach without sacrificing rigidity.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines accepting a 3/8-inch straight shank. The extra-long overall length makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling where a standard-length tool cannot reach the workpiece feature. The chipbreaker geometry breaks chips into shorter segments during heavy material removal, making it practical for production environments where chip control and tool life directly affect cycle time. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting are standard for conventional spindle setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling choice for any milling machine or machining center with a 3/8-inch collet, end mill holder, or hydraulic chuck accepting a straight shank. Part of the M.A. FORD. Series 132 extra-long solid carbide end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth before tightening; inadequate engagement increases runout and risk of tool pullout. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm concentricity before cutting.
