The M.A. FORD. 12275000A is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for demanding material removal in industrial and precision machining environments. With a 0.75 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance across a wide range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for extended tool life in difficult-to-machine alloys and structural metals. Four spiral flutes with a right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard on this Series 122 tool. This end mill is installed and used by CNC machinists and toolroom professionals in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on materials classified under workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, structural steels, and high-temperature alloys. The extra-long length-of-cut classification makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling operations where standard-reach tooling cannot access the full depth of cut. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders sized for 0.75 inch shank diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 0.75 inch straight-cylindrical toolholders; compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S per M.A. FORD. Series 122 classification.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a full stop, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the specified retention torque for the holder type in use. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating combination. Secure proper coolant or minimum quantity lubrication delivery before engaging the cut.
