The M.A. FORD. 12250000A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding industrial applications. Built on the Series 122 platform with a micrograin carbide construction, it delivers a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, 2 inch length of cut, and 4 inch overall length. The 4-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle combine to promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across a wide range of workpiece materials. The ALtima coating enhances wear resistance and tool life. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production and job shop environments.
The 12250000A is well suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and profiling operations where an extra-long reach is required. Its straight cylindrical shank measures 0.5 inches in diameter, making it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute design is the conventional configuration for most vertical and horizontal machining center setups. Supported workpiece material codes include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering a broad spectrum of materials such as hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, and heat-resistant alloys.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and locked out. Seat the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque to the holder manufacturer specification. Inspect runout after mounting; the mill diameter tolerance of plus 0.000 to minus 0.003 inches requires a properly maintained and clean collet bore to maintain that tolerance in practice. Follow shop-standard feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut guidelines for the specific workpiece material and machine capability.
