The M.A. FORD. 12235430C is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision metal removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 0.3543-inch (9 mm) cutting diameter with a matching 0.3543-inch straight cylindrical shank, a 1.378-inch length of cut, and a 4-flute geometry with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers edge retention and rigidity, while the TiCN coating reduces friction and extends tool life in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. This is a long-length end mill in the M.A. FORD. Series 122 line, center-cutting and designed for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. Installation and use are performed by machinists and CNC tooling specialists.
This end mill is suited for milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials corresponding to ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. These groups cover hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous materials, carbon and alloy steels, and superalloys. The long length of cut and fixed right-hand flute direction make it appropriate for applications requiring deeper axial engagement or clearance in pocketing and profiling passes on vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual knee mills.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 0.3543-inch (9 mm) cylindrical shank. Compatible with workpiece materials in ISO groups H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by M.A. FORD. for the Series 122 product line.
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists or CNC tooling personnel. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully de-energized and at rest before changing or measuring any cutting tool. Verify collet or holder bore cleanliness and proper torque on retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended depth of cut or feed rate parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
