The M.A. FORD 12235430 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the Series 122 long-length platform, it features a 0.3543-inch (9.00 mm) cutting diameter, a 1.378-inch (35.00 mm) length of cut, and a 0.3937-inch (10.00 mm) straight shank. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry runs at a 30-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. The micrograin carbide substrate and bright uncoated finish make this end mill a versatile choice across a broad range of workpiece materials. It is centercutting and suitable for plunge, slot, and peripheral milling operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a long-reach, small-diameter tool is required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and hardened materials. It is a single-end tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cut, making it compatible with standard spindle setups. Machinists and tooling specialists working in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing will find this series well-suited to tight-tolerance finishing and semi-finishing passes.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and hardened materials as specified by M.A. FORD Series 122 tooling standards. Straight shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders sized for a 0.3937-inch (10.00 mm) shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet chuck or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or adjusting tooling. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material and cutting depth.
