The M.A. FORD. 12150000A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with TiAlN, it handles heat and wear in demanding cutting environments. The 2-flute geometry, combined with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix, promotes efficient chip evacuation and clean edge finishes. At 0.5 inches in diameter with a 1-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length, this single-end tool suits a wide range of slot milling, profiling, and contouring applications in production and job-shop settings. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry.
This end mill is suited for machining a broad range of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless and high-temperature alloys, steel, and titanium, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. It fits standard 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical tool holders and collet chucks. The regular-length body and straight shank make it a practical fit for vertical and horizontal CNC milling centers as well as manual knee mills where the application allows.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware to the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, and verify runout at the tool tip before beginning a cut.
