The M.A. FORD 12125003 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in aggressive cuts. The 2-flute, single-end design with a 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. This end mill belongs to M.A. FORD Series 121 and is built from micrograin solid carbide with a bright/uncoated finish, suited for roughing operations across a broad range of workpiece materials.
This tool is appropriate for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its coarse pitch and medium helix style make it a practical choice for general roughing passes as well as finishing in harder alloys. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It is suited for job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom work where consistent corner geometry and carbide rigidity are required.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders. Compatible with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as specified by M.A. FORD for the Series 121 line.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or changing the end mill. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material and confirm the toolholder bore matches the 1/4 inch shank diameter before clamping.
