The M.A. FORD. 12125000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutter measures 0.25 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length. Two spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.25 inches matches the mill diameter for direct collet or end mill holder mounting. This tool is installed and used by machinists and toolroom technicians operating manual mills, CNC machining centers, and VMCs.
The 12125000 is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in a shop or production environment. It carries a regular length classification, making it appropriate for standard-depth pockets and slots where rigidity is a priority over reach. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction allows it to run in a wide range of workpiece materials. Per the supplier material codes, this end mill is rated for use in materials classified as H, K, M, N, P, and S — covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, non-metallic materials, steel, and heat-resistant super alloys. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole.

This end mill is installed by machinists using a collet chuck, end mill holder, or hydraulic toolholder sized for a 0.25-inch shank. Confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Set tool length offset and diameter compensation in the machine controller before running the first cut. Apply cutting fluid or coolant appropriate for the workpiece material to extend tool life and manage chip load.
