The M.A. FORD. 12115620 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking applications. With a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) mill diameter and a 2-inch overall length, this tool features 2 spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in demanding machining environments. It is uncoated and suited for direct use or as a base for shop-applied coatings. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tooling.
This end mill is built for use in a variety of machining operations including slotting, profiling, and contouring. The 1/2 inch length of cut and 3/16 inch straight cylindrical shank make it well suited for light-depth passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Compatible workpiece material codes include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and superalloys.

This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC operator into a compatible collet or end mill holder rated for a 3/16 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the tool. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut parameters are set per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines before engaging the workpiece. Never exceed the tool's rated length of cut when slotting or plunging.
