The M.A. FORD. 12112500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering plastic workpieces. Built on the Series 121 platform, it features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The two-flute, right-hand spiral geometry runs at a 30-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation in slotting and peripheral milling passes. Micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. The uncoated finish suits shops that prefer to apply their own coolant strategy or work with materials sensitive to coating chemistry.
This end mill is suited for light to medium milling work in job shop and production environments. Its 1/8 inch shank diameter and compact overall length make it a fit for small-feature work, tight-tolerance profiling, and die or mold detail passes. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled start hole, adding flexibility in 3-axis CNC and manual milling setups. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in precision machining, tool-and-die, and aerospace fabrication shops are the primary installers of this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in the M.A. FORD. Series 121 line, compatible with standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or nut according to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use and replace the tool at first sign of edge chipping or wear. Always follow your facility's lockout procedure before changing tooling on any spindle.
