The M.A. FORD. 12109500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. With a 0.095-inch cutting diameter and a 0.285-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work where rigidity and edge sharpness are critical. The 2-flute configuration supports efficient chip evacuation in both slotting and profiling operations. A 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces and surface finish across multiple material types. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and composite materials, as indicated by its multi-material workpiece codes. The 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines. Its regular-length geometry makes it a practical choice for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and plunge operations where a compact overhang is preferred.
Designed for use with standard 1/8-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and high-temperature alloys per M.A. FORD. Series 121 designation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench on the collet nut to secure the shank without over-tightening. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run to protect the tool and workpiece.
