The M.A. FORD. 12106500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. Built to Series 121 specifications, this two-flute tool features a 0.065-inch cutting diameter, a 0.195-inch length of cut, and a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. The spiral flute geometry combined with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 1.5 inches overall length, it is sized for close-tolerance work in die, mold, and general machining applications. Machinists and CNC operators working with ferrous alloys, nonferrous metals, and specialty materials will find this tool well suited to finish and semi-finish passes.
This end mill is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter precision tooling is required. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional spindle setups. The uncoated solid carbide construction performs reliably when used with appropriate cutting fluids on materials including cast iron, aluminum, stainless, and high-temperature alloys consistent with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as classified by the supplier.

Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Secure the shank firmly in a clean, properly sized 1/8-inch collet or end mill holder, torquing the holder to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout on small-diameter carbide tools increases breakage risk. Follow applicable shop safety practices and machine guarding requirements when operating high-speed cutting tools.
