The M.A. FORD. 12105000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. Built on the Series 121 platform, this end mill measures 3/64 inch (0.0500 inch decimal) in diameter with a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The cutting length of cut runs 0.15 inches, placing it in the regular-length category. With 2 flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute geometry, and center-cutting capability, it handles plunge entry and peripheral milling. No coating is applied, and the carbide substrate is left uncoated for applications where coating is not required or preferred.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and precision tool rooms where small-diameter, tight-tolerance work is common. The 3/64 inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine-detail slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and structural steels. Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with small-diameter tooling and appropriate spindle speed and feed rate calculations. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, de-energized state before seating or removing the tool from its holder. Use a properly sized 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Due to the small diameter, excessive feed rates or lateral force can cause tool breakage.
