The M.A. FORD. 12102360 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. With a cutting diameter of 0.0236 inches and a 2-flute spiral configuration, this end mill delivers clean, accurate cuts in small-feature machining applications. The 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation and cutting stability. At 1.5 inches overall length with a length of cut of 0.0709 inches, this tool is suited for tight-tolerance work where rigidity and tool control are critical. It is uncoated and centercutting, making it capable of plunging directly into the workpiece. Typically installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations on a broad spectrum of materials, including ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, cast iron, stainless steels, superalloys, and plastics, as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its regular-length classification and straight-cylindrical shank with a 3.00 mm shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet systems used in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual milling machines. It is well suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge-cutting micro-features where a small-diameter, rigid tool is required.

Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom professionals. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to minimize runout, as excessive runout is especially damaging at small diameters. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before engaging the cut.
