The M.A. FORD. 11618750 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 3/16-inch mill diameter, a 5/8-inch length of cut, and a 2-inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent performance in tight-tolerance cuts. The three-flute, right-hand spiral design at a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-speed milling operations. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collets and end mill holders. This is a centercutting tool, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece when needed.
The 11618750 is suited for milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. It is an uncoated, regular-length tool appropriate for general-purpose profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling in machining centers and CNC mills. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cut orientation make it compatible with standard spindle rotation.
Designed as a standard replacement or production end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 3/16-inch collets or end mill holders. Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer for Series 116 tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention mechanism to the machine manufacturer's specification.
