The M.A. FORD. 11150001 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built to Series 111 specifications, it features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 4-flute, single-end configuration with a 30-degree helix angle supports both roughing and finishing operations. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and carries a bright uncoated finish suitable for a wide range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers will find it ready for immediate use in standard toolholders.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling setups handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its micrograin carbide construction holds tight tolerances under high-speed cutting conditions, making it appropriate for production environments as well as precision job shop work. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard 1/2 inch toolholders and collet chucks without modification.
Designed for use with standard 1/2 inch bore toolholders and collet chucks. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as identified in the manufacturer workpiece material classification codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with an indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for collet nuts and set screws — do not exceed them.
