The M.A. FORD 11139371 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding production and job-shop environments. The cutter measures 10 mm in diameter with a 0.5 mm corner radius, a 25 mm length of cut, and a 70 mm overall length. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required when working in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The bright uncoated finish makes it straightforward to inspect for wear. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in standard straight-shank toolholders for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This Series 111 end mill fits conventional CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with compatible straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 10 mm shank. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a medium 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation and surface finish across a broad range of workpiece materials. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it suitable for slot milling, profile milling, and pocket operations where a single tool must handle both roughing stock removal and finishing passes. It is a single-end tool intended for standard-reach applications.
Designed for use with straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium as specified by the manufacturer for this series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before initiating a cut, as excessive runout accelerates corner wear and reduces dimensional accuracy.
