The M.A. FORD. 11123623 is a 4-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. The tool features a 6 mm cutting diameter and a 1.00 mm corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life and improving surface finish. With a 20.00 mm length of cut, 64.00 mm overall length, and a 6.00 mm straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard toolholders used across CNC machining centers. The 30-degree medium helix and right-hand spiral flutes promote efficient chip evacuation during both roughing and finishing passes. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for high-speed cutting cycles.
This Series 111 end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into the workpiece where the operation requires. The bright uncoated finish makes it well-suited for applications where coatings are not desired, such as certain non-ferrous or superalloy operations where adhesion or heat response differs from coated tooling. It is used in production and job shop environments on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm straight shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per the manufacturer specification.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and in a safe state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Verify toolholder bore and collet size match the 6.00 mm shank diameter before seating the tool. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and machine setup.
