The M.A. FORD. 11119680C is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of materials. It measures 0.1968 inches (5.00 mm) in cutting diameter with a length of cut of 0.7874 inches (20.00 mm) and an overall length of 51.00 mm. The four-flute helical design with a 30-degree helix angle provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN finish adds surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding applications. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, cast iron, and plastics, as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet and end mill holders. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where tight tolerances and consistent finish quality are required. The standard length geometry makes it a reliable choice for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and contouring at smaller diameters.
Part of the M.A. FORD. Series 111 end mill family. Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical collet holders and end mill tool holders sized for a 5.00 mm shank diameter. Suitable for machining material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S per the manufacturer workpiece material coding system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth and tighten to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout on small-diameter end mills accelerates edge wear and can cause breakage.
