The M.A. FORD. 11118751 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It carries a 3/16 inch cutting diameter and a 0.015 inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping at the transition between the floor and wall of a milled feature. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, the tool balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. The 5/8 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length make it suitable for moderate-depth profiling, slotting, and contouring work on CNC machining centers. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is built for both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/16 inches in diameter and is intended for use with a standard toolholder. The uncoated bright finish suits applications where coating buildup or thermal compatibility with cutting fluids is a concern. It belongs to the Series 111 family from M.A. FORD., which is a regular-length end mill line designed for general-purpose and close-tolerance work.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders. Confirmed compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per manufacturer material application data.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or turret is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Verify runout at the toolholder with a dial indicator before first use, as micrograin carbide is sensitive to deflection and vibration. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
