The M.A. FORD 11118750T is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in milling operations. This single-end tool measures 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.625-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length. The 4-flute, 30-degree helical geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating increases surface hardness and extends tool life in moderate to aggressive cutting conditions. Micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.1875 inches in diameter, fitting standard collet chucks and end mill holders found on most CNC and manual milling machines.
This end mill is suited for milling operations across a range of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and steel. It is used in both CNC machining centers and manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute orientation is the standard configuration for conventional climb milling and conventional milling passes. The standard length classification makes it appropriate for general-purpose setups where extended reach is not required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard catalog end mill compatible with 3/16 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Suitable for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S per the supplier material classification system.
End mills of this type are installed by machinists and CNC operators using a calibrated collet chuck or end mill holder - ensure the holder bore matches the 0.1875-inch shank diameter exactly to prevent runout. Secure the shank to the recommended insertion depth per the toolholder manufacturer's guidelines, leaving no less than the minimum engagement length. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; carbide end mills are brittle and should not be used if chipping is present on the flutes or corners.
