The M.A. FORD. 11114060 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers consistent edge integrity and wear resistance across a range of work materials. The cutter measures 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch) in diameter with a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 3/16 inch straight cylindrical shank. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as standard peripheral milling. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC mills and manual knee mills are the primary installers and users of this tool.
The 11114060 is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in a broad spectrum of materials. Its material compatibility codes cover cast iron and hardened materials (H), non-ferrous metals (K), stainless steel (M), non-metals and composites (N), steel (P), and heat-resistant superalloys (S). The regular-length geometry and compact 2 inch overall length make it well-suited for short-reach, high-precision cuts in tight setups on production floors and toolrooms alike. The uncoated finish keeps regrinding straightforward when the tool is reconditioned in-house.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated by M.A. FORD. Series 111. Fits standard 3/16 inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop-standard tool-change procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or chuck. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification before running. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, and do not exceed the rated length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
