The M.A. FORD. 11112500A is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with TiAlN for heat and wear resistance, this end mill delivers consistent performance in demanding cutting applications. The 1/8 inch diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length makes it well-suited for fine detail work and tight-tolerance machining. The 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation. It is center-cutting and single-end, making it capable of plunge entry. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install and operate this tool on CNC mills and manual milling machines.
This end mill is rated for use across a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, titanium, and steel, as reflected by its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its compact 1/8 inch diameter suits small-feature milling, slotting, and profiling operations in both production and prototype environments. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders commonly found in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank tooling. Suitable for workpiece materials corresponding to ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with an indicator before beginning a cut to confirm proper seating and minimize premature tool wear.
