The M.A. FORD 11110005 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life compared to a sharp-corner geometry. The 4-flute, single-end design with a 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry. The bright uncoated finish suits a broad range of workpiece materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
The 11110005 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its micrograin carbide substrate maintains cutting edge integrity under the elevated heat and pressure typical of these materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1 inch in diameter, compatible with standard toolholders used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The 4 inch overall length provides adequate reach for common workpiece setups without excessive overhang. Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and control power in a safe state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Verify toolholder bore diameter and runout before securing the shank to manufacturer torque recommendations for the holder type in use. Do not exceed the toolholder's rated axial reach or apply side-loading beyond the tool's rated geometry. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use; a damaged corner radius end mill should be removed from service immediately.
