The M.A. FORD 11106250 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/16 inch cutting diameter, 3/16 inch length of cut, and 4-flute spiral geometry, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in a wide range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance in production settings. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation during full-depth passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, contours, and pockets where fine detail and dimensional control are required. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collets and end mill holders. It is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Typical applications include precision parts machining in aerospace, medical, and general metalworking. Compatible workpiece material codes include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering materials such as hardened steels, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous alloys, and superalloys.
The M.A. FORD Series 111 regular-length end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collet systems accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece material codes per manufacturer designation: H, K, M, N, P, S.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware according to the holder manufacturer's specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before commencing a production run, particularly given the small 1/16 inch cutting diameter which is sensitive to deflection and misalignment.
