The M.A. FORD 11105910A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of metalworking and industrial applications. It features a 0.0591-inch (1.5 mm) mill diameter, a 0.2362-inch (6 mm) length of cut, and a 0.1181-inch (3.00 mm) straight-cylindrical shank. Built from micrograin solid carbide with an ALtima coating, this single-end, center-cutting tool runs a right-hand cut with right-hand helical flutes at a 30-degree helix angle. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this tool for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling work.
This end mill is suited for small-diameter milling tasks in materials coded H, K, M, N, P, and S - covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, carbon steels, and high-temperature alloys. The standard-length geometry and 4-flute configuration make it a practical choice for finish milling and light slotting on CNC machining centers and manual mills where a compact, rigid tool is required. The Series 111 designation places it within M.A. FORD's established line of general-purpose solid carbide end mills.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore collets and end mill holders accepting a 0.1181-inch (3.00 mm) shank. Suitable for milling workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer. Part of M.A. FORD Series 111 solid carbide end mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on CNC machining centers or manual milling machines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the machine manufacturer's specified value. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, especially at this small diameter where deflection can affect tolerance and tool life.
