The M.A. FORD 11102750 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of small features in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.0275-inch (0.70 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.0827-inch (2.10 mm) length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The four-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 1.5 inches overall length with a straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard collet and milling chuck setups. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance in a compact micro-end-mill profile used by skilled machinists and CNC operators.
This end mill is suited for light-to-moderate material removal in precision CNC milling operations. It is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, heat-resistant alloys, and other machinable materials as indicated by material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The centercutting design allows for plunge entry. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration make it compatible with standard spindle rotation. Typical applications include slot milling, profiling, and contouring of small features in die, mold, and precision component work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet systems or milling chucks accepting a 3.00 mm (approximately 0.118-inch) straight cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify collet size matches the 3.00 mm shank diameter to prevent runout or tool pull-out during operation. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool projection length and clamping torque when seating micro-diameter end mills.
