The M.A. FORD. 11102360 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision micro-milling applications. With a 0.0236-inch (0.60 mm) mill diameter and a 0.0709-inch (1.80 mm) length of cut, this tool is designed for tight-tolerance work in small-feature machining. The four-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 1.5 inches overall length, the tool fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is centercutting capable, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and toolroom operators running high-precision parts rely on this class of end mill for demanding detail work.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC milling operations requiring micro-diameter tooling. The Series 111 designation places it within M.A. FORD.'s standard-length, straight-cylindrical-shank family. It is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and non-metallic materials, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The uncoated carbide substrate is appropriate for applications where coating is not required or where re-grinding is anticipated.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3.00 mm (0.118-inch) straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for workpiece materials classified under codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless, heat-resistant alloys, and composites.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or ER chuck and torque the retention nut per the collet manufacturer's specifications. At this diameter, runout control is critical — inspect the tool holder for contamination or wear before seating the tool. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped before tool changes.
