The LUTRON MA-T530G-IV is a Maestro Eco-Timer countdown timer switch designed for single-pole lighting and fan control applications. It operates at 120 volts and handles up to 600 watts or volt-amps for lighting loads and up to 3 amps for fan loads. A key advantage for retrofit installs is that no neutral wire is required, making it compatible with standard 2-wire switch legs. The timer runs for a user-selected interval of 1 to 30 minutes and then automatically cuts power to the load, reducing energy waste in bathrooms, utility rooms, closets, and similar spaces. The ivory finish matches standard wallplate color schemes.
This timer switch is suited for residential and light commercial installations where automatic shutoff is required for exhaust fans, ventilation fans, or lighting circuits. It is a single-pole device, meaning it controls a load from one location. Typical applications include bathroom exhaust fan control, laundry room lighting, and storage area lighting where occupants routinely leave lights or fans running. The no-neutral design simplifies installation in older construction where only a hot and switched-leg conductor are present in the switch box.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation single-pole countdown timer for 120-volt residential and light commercial lighting and fan circuits that do not have a neutral conductor available at the switch location.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Turn off the circuit breaker and verify power is absent at the switch box with a non-contact voltage tester before wiring. This is a single-pole device and is not suitable for 3-way switching without an accessory remote. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram included with the device for correct load and line terminations.
