The LUTRON DVFSQFHOWH is a single-pole and 3-way compatible wall-mount fan speed control designed for residential ceiling fan applications. It delivers a 2-amp contact rating at 120 volts, supporting fans up to 240 watts. The control combines a paddle rocker switch for on/off operation with a linear slider that steps fan speed between Low, Medium, and High. The rocker returns the fan to a preset speed on each power cycle, reducing the need for repeated adjustments. Licensed electricians and HVAC-electrical technicians handle typical installation in standard wallbox locations. The glossy white finish coordinates with other Lutron Diva and Claro series devices for a clean panel appearance.
This control is suited for residential single-zone fan speed management in living rooms, bedrooms, and similar spaces where a ceiling fan runs from a standard 120-volt branch circuit. It supports both single-pole wiring for single-switch locations and 3-way wiring for two-switch stairwell or room configurations. According to the supplier data, this control is specified for use with Hunter original series fans. Coordinating Claro wall plates and companion 3-way switches are sold separately and are required for multi-switch installations.
Specified for use with Hunter original series fans in single-pole or 3-way installations at 120 volts. Designed to coordinate with Lutron Claro switches and wall plates, sold separately, for 3-way applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for fan speed controls and branch-circuit wiring. Turn off the circuit breaker supplying the fan circuit before any wiring work and verify the circuit is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before handling wire leads. In 3-way configurations, a compatible Lutron Claro 3-way switch and appropriate traveler wiring are required at the second switch location. Do not use this control with light-only fixtures, motors exceeding the rated amperage, or dimmer-incompatible loads.
