The LS ELECTRIC 6120005300 is a three-phase variable frequency drive (VFD) rated for 50 horsepower (HP) in heavy-duty (constant torque) service at 230 volts AC. Part of the iS7 series, it delivers sensorless vector and V/F control modes, giving technicians flexible motor management for demanding industrial and commercial applications. The drive is housed in an IP20/NEMA 1 enclosure and ships with a built-in keypad display for on-unit programming and monitoring. Output current reaches 146 amps in heavy-duty mode and 180 amps in normal-duty mode at three phase. Net weight is 97 pounds. Licensed HVAC and electrical professionals install this class of drive in motor control applications requiring precise speed regulation.
This drive is rated for three-phase input at 200 to 240 VAC and is suited for heavy-duty motor loads in commercial and light industrial environments. In heavy-duty (CT) mode it supports up to 50 HP at three phase. In normal-duty (VT) mode it supports up to 60 HP at three phase. Single-phase input is also supported at reduced ratings: 25 HP heavy-duty and 30 HP normal-duty. The iS7 Frame Size 7 platform is designed for pump, fan, conveyor, and compressor motor control where consistent torque response and reliable overload handling are required. Operating temperature range is 10 to 50 degrees C.
Designed for use with three-phase AC induction motors in the 50 HP heavy-duty class at 200 to 240 VAC. Single-phase input compatibility is supported with output derating as noted in the technical specifications. No specific replacement part numbers or compatible equipment models were provided in the product data.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before mounting or wiring the drive. Ensure the enclosure location provides adequate ventilation for the published operating temperature range of 10 to 50 degrees C. Do not use the built-in EMC filter or DC reactor settings as substitutes for external line conditioning equipment if the application requires it, as neither is built into this unit.
