The LS ELECTRIC 1324000800 is a three-pole thermal overload relay from the Metasol Series, designed to protect motors and electrical loads from sustained overcurrent conditions. It carries an 11-amp amperage rating with an adjustable setting range of 9 to 13 A, and it trips at Class 20 to allow for higher inrush currents common in motor-start applications. The relay accepts an input voltage up to 690 volts at 50/60 Hz and features both automatic and manual reset modes. Electricians and industrial control technicians install this relay in motor control centers, control panels, and starter assemblies where reliable overload protection is required.
This relay is suited for use in commercial and industrial electrical installations where three-phase motor protection is needed. It mounts on standard DIN rail or direct panel surfaces, making it compatible with common motor starter and control panel configurations. The screw terminal design accepts 24 to 10 AWG conductors on the main circuit and 18 AWG on the auxiliary contact circuit. The 1NO-1NC auxiliary contact configuration supports both normally open and normally closed control circuit wiring. Vertical plane mounting is the specified installation orientation for this device.
Designed as an OEM-style overload relay within the LS ELECTRIC Metasol Series motor starter and control system lineup. Consult system documentation to confirm starter contactor compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lockout/tagout the circuit before mounting or wiring the relay. Mount in the vertical plane orientation as specified; do not install in horizontal or inverted positions. Verify that all conductor terminations are made to the correct AWG range using properly rated screw terminals before restoring power.
