The LS ELECTRIC 1310001000 is a 3-pole thermal overload relay from the Metasol Series, designed to protect motors and connected equipment from sustained overcurrent and overload conditions. Rated at 34 amps with an adjustable setting range of 28 to 40 A, this relay trips on Class 10A timing to disconnect the circuit before heat damage occurs. It accepts an input voltage of up to 690 volts at 50/60 Hz and carries a 690-volt insulation voltage rating with a 6 kV withstand voltage. Screw terminals accept conductors from 18 to 6 AWG. Both automatic and manual reset modes are supported, giving installers flexibility based on application requirements.
This relay is suited for industrial motor control applications in commercial and light industrial environments. It installs on standard 35 mm DIN rail or direct panel mount in a vertical plane orientation. The 1NO-1NC auxiliary contact configuration supports control circuit integration for status indication or interlock wiring. The differential trip type provides phase-loss sensitivity, making it appropriate for three-phase motor branch circuits where unbalanced loading is a concern. Licensed electricians and industrial controls technicians are the primary installers of this relay in motor control centers and control panels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation thermal overload relay for 3-phase motor control circuits requiring Class 10A trip protection up to 34 A within the LS ELECTRIC Metasol Series contactor and relay lineup.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the control panel before mounting, wiring, or adjusting this relay. Screw terminals require proper torque to maintain secure connections; refer to the manufacturer documentation for terminal torque specifications. Verify the current setting dial is adjusted to match the full-load amperage of the protected motor before returning the circuit to service.
