The LS ELECTRIC 1306000500 is a differential overload relay designed to protect motors and contactors from sustained overcurrent conditions. Part of the MT-95 frame series within the Metasol line, it covers a current range of 18 to 25 amps with a rated value of 21.5 amps. Lug termination provides a secure, low-resistance connection suited for industrial panel builds. Overload relays in this class trip on thermal differential, distinguishing between normal motor inrush and a true overload event, which reduces nuisance trips during startup. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component in motor control circuit assemblies.
This relay is applied in IEC-standard motor control centers, combination starters, and stand-alone contactor assemblies where motor branch circuit protection is required. The MT-95 frame size is matched to contactors and enclosures designed for that frame class. The Metasol series supports DIN rail mounting without additional tools, screw terminal wiring, and includes two built-in normally open (NO) auxiliary contacts. Front-mountable and side-mountable accessories are available for expanded functionality within the same assembly footprint. Typical applications include industrial machinery, pump stations, HVAC air-handling unit motor circuits, and commercial fan control panels.
Designed for use within the LS ELECTRIC Metasol series IEC contactor and overload relay system, MT-95 frame class. Compatible accessories include front-mountable and side-mountable Metasol series add-on modules. Verify frame size and current range match the motor full-load amp rating and paired contactor before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC Article 430 governing motor branch circuit and overload protection. De-energize and lockout/tagout the full control panel before mounting or wiring this relay. Set the current adjustment dial to match the motor nameplate full-load amp rating within the 18 to 25 amp range. Do not exceed the relay current range or bypass the thermal trip mechanism for any operational reason.
