The LPS 02908 is a copper-base, general purpose anti-seize lubricant formulated to prevent galling, corrosion, and seizing on threaded fasteners, flanges, and fittings across a wide range of industrial and trade applications. Packaged in an 8 oz can, it delivers a copper-pigmented film that withstands temperatures up to 1,800 degrees F, making it suitable for high-heat environments including exhaust components, boiler fittings, and furnace hardware. The compound is water-resistant, helping it hold up in wet or outdoor service conditions. It is VOC compliant and carries flash point data for safe handling in ventilated work areas. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance trades are the primary installers.
This anti-seize compound is appropriate for use on carbon steel, stainless steel, and iron fasteners and threaded connections in residential and commercial mechanical systems. Typical applications include exhaust manifold studs, pipe flanges, heat exchanger bolts, pump casing hardware, and any threaded assembly subject to high heat, moisture, or corrosive exposure. It is well suited for boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and outdoor utility equipment where fastener seizure is a recurring service problem. It is not rated as food grade and should not be used in food-processing environments.
Approved or listed against the following standards: Boise Cascade, General Motors Co., MIL-PRF-907E, Minntac - US Steel, and Tampa Electric Co. Suitable as a general purpose anti-seize for threaded metal fasteners and fittings in high-temperature mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing service applications.
Apply a thin, even coat to clean, dry threads before assembly using a brush or the can applicator. Power down or de-energize associated equipment and allow components to cool before servicing fasteners in high-heat areas. Avoid contact with open flames during application given the product is classified as flammable. Dispose of used containers in accordance with local regulations and consult the safety data sheet for full handling guidance.
