The LOVEJOY 68514458119 is an aluminum Oldham coupling hub with a polyacetal insert, designed for flexible shaft-to-shaft power transmission in motion control and light industrial drive applications. The hub measures 1.26 inches in outside diameter and 1.772 inches in overall length, with a 3/8 inch minimum bore diameter. The clamp-style design allows secure shaft engagement without set screws bearing directly on the shaft. Torque capacity is rated at 40 inch-pounds. Installed by mechanical technicians and machine builders, this hub is a component part of a complete Oldham coupling assembly.
This coupling hub is used in applications where misalignment compensation is required between two rotating shafts, such as in conveyor drives, pump-to-motor connections, encoder mounts, and general-purpose power transmission setups. The polyacetal insert transmits torque between the two hubs while absorbing minor angular and parallel misalignment. This hub is one component of a complete Oldham coupling. To assemble a functional coupling, order 2 hubs of the same outside diameter (bores may differ) and 1 compatible polyacetal insert. Designed for shafts with a minimum bore diameter of 3/8 inch.
Installation is performed by mechanical technicians or machine builders during drivetrain assembly or maintenance. Disconnect and lock out all power to the drive system before installing or removing coupling components. Verify shaft and bore dimensions before assembly, and ensure both hubs are fully seated and clamping fasteners are tightened to equipment manufacturer specifications. Do not operate the coupling beyond its rated torque capacity.
