The LOVEJOY 68514458095 is a flexible Oldham coupling hub designed for motion-control and power-transmission applications where shaft misalignment must be accommodated without imposing heavy radial loads on connected equipment. The hub is machined from aluminum and mates with a polyacetal (acetal) insert to form the completed Oldham coupling assembly. With a 0.789-inch outside diameter and a 1.3-inch overall length, this is a compact hub suited for small-bore shaft connections starting at a 1/4-inch minimum bore. A clamp-style retention design locks the hub securely to the shaft. Licensed technicians, millwrights, and mechanical system integrators are the typical installers.
This coupling hub is applied in light-duty motion-control systems, instrumentation drives, small conveyor assemblies, pump drives, and HVAC actuator linkages where angular or parallel misalignment between driving and driven shafts needs to be absorbed. The Oldham design transmits torque through a sliding center insert, isolating connected components from shock and vibration. This hub belongs to the MOL series, coupling size code MOL20C. De-energize and lock out all power to the drive system before installing or removing coupling components, following applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Align the clamp-style hub squarely on the shaft and torque the clamp fasteners evenly; consult the fastener manufacturer specification for the clamp hardware being used. Ensure both hubs are fully seated and the insert is properly engaged before returning the drive to service. Installation is typically performed by millwrights, mechanical technicians, or qualified maintenance personnel familiar with power-transmission components.
