The LOCTITE LOC1835201 is a high-strength, medium-viscosity anaerobic retaining compound engineered for slip-fit assemblies in mechanical and industrial applications. It cures in approximately 10 minutes at room temperature without heat or UV exposure, bonding metal-to-metal interfaces by polymerizing in the absence of air. The compound fills micro-gaps between mating parts to create a rigid, load-bearing connection that resists vibration loosening, shock, and thermal cycling. Supplied in a 50 ml bottle, it is well suited for field service, shop repair, and production line use by mechanical technicians and trade professionals.
This retaining compound is used in slip-fit assemblies including bearings on shafts, bushings in housings, sleeves, cylindrical press-fit components, and similar close-tolerance joints. It is commonly applied in HVAC equipment repair, pump assemblies, motor rebuilds, and general mechanical maintenance where conventional press or shrink fits require supplemental bonding. The medium viscosity allows controlled application without excessive migration before cure.
Designed as an OEM-style retaining compound for slip-fit cylindrical assemblies involving metal-to-metal contact surfaces in mechanical, HVAC, pump, and motor applications.
Application is performed by licensed mechanical technicians or qualified service professionals. Before applying, degrease and dry both mating surfaces thoroughly, as contamination will inhibit anaerobic cure. Apply compound to one surface only, assemble immediately, and allow adequate cure time before applying load. Avoid skin contact and work in a well-ventilated area per manufacturer safety data sheet guidance.
