The LOCTITE 237102 is a two-part epoxy adhesive in a 50 mL dual-cartridge format, part of the E-40FL series. It delivers a 1:1 mix ratio through a standard static-mix nozzle and provides a 40-minute working time, giving technicians adequate open time to fit and position assemblies before cure begins. Full cure completes in 4 to 12 hours depending on temperature and bond line thickness. The cured adhesive is gray in color. It is suited for structural bonding, repair, and maintenance applications across a broad range of substrate types. Installation is typically performed by maintenance technicians, contractors, or experienced tradespeople working on mechanical assemblies, piping systems, or equipment enclosures.
The E-40FL series is designed for applications requiring a strong, gap-filling structural bond on dissimilar materials. Common uses include bonding components in HVAC equipment housings, plumbing fixture repairs, pool equipment enclosures, and general mechanical maintenance. The 50 mL cartridge format is practical for field service work where controlled dispensing and minimal waste are priorities. The CFIA-approved rating broadens its suitability for food-adjacent facility maintenance environments.
Formulated to bond ceramic, glass, masonry, metal, plastic, rubber, and wood substrates. Part of the LOCTITE E-40FL series (Series Part Number 29304). Compatible with standard 50 mL dual-cartridge dispensing guns with a 1:1 mix ratio configuration.
Surface preparation is critical — clean and abrade both substrates to remove oil, dust, and loose material before applying. Dispense a small purge bead before attaching the static-mix nozzle to ensure both components flow evenly. Keep parts fixtured or clamped for at least the initial cure phase; avoid load-bearing stress until full cure is reached. Work in areas with adequate ventilation per standard adhesive handling practices.
